Sunday, April 15th, 2027 3:00pm - “Illuminare” - St. John’s Episcopal Church - with Chamber Orchestra (No tickets required)
Featuring the Oklahoma premiere of Elaine Hagenberg’s “Illuminare” for SATB chorus and chamber orchestra. Using lesser-known sacred Latin, Greek, and English texts, the piece takes us through a season of beauty and goodness that has been disrupted by darkness and confusion. But as Light gradually returns, hope is restored, illuminating our future and guiding us in peace. The program will begin with Morten Lauridsen’s “Lux Aeterna", which was last performed by Windsong in May of 2017, with additional works centered around finding Light in the midst of darkness.
